Community Supported Agriculture is an alternative model of food production and distribution. In traditional formats, farmers are disconnected from eaters; typically hidden behind a wall of corporate distributors. Farmers thereby take on all the financial risk. The CSA model reconnects farmers and eaters; providing local food resilience in the form of risk-sharing.
CSAs are usually run by individual farms. Foodshed operates a multi-farm CSA. As a food hub, we aggregate from a network of local, regenerative farmers. By becoming a subscriber and receiving regular diversified bags of fruits and vegetables, you support our network and reduce each farm’s individual risk. Every week your CSA will comprise produce from multiple farms!
